(M!Titan!Reader x Levi) Named. 3/??

You finally get a name in this chapter. Yay!
And sorry for the lack of Levi in these last chapters. </3
I can’t think of much to do with him as of yet.

You couldn’t be happier. You could finally talk! Well…about as well as a toddler, as Eren likes to say, but it is better then scaring the humans with grunts, growls and flailing. Many of your new human friends were happy for you and would talk to you often, while others seemed to get more disturbed and wary of you as you learned. You even made a whole bunch of new friends! ‘Connie, Reiner, Marco, Berthold, Annie, Sasha, Hors-no wait, Jean was his name…uh...’ You frown as you fail to remember the rest of your new friend’s names. But who could blame you? A month or so ago you didn’t even think and now you are talking…sort of and have a whole bunch of things to learn! Hanji said that your progress was very impressive and if you forgot a few things, such as names, it was to be expected. You could only learn so much so fast after all. And though your favorite fleshy thin-wait they are called humans, didn’t talk to you much he was around often. ‘To keep an eye on the Titan and make sure it doesn’t start shit.’ You think he said. Despite the lack of conversation you were still happy to have him around. Hanji seemed to notice how you got all squirmy and excitable when you saw him and thought it was adorable. She would try to drag Levi over to interact with you but failed on all occasions so far.

But back to the present. Right now some your friends were eating lunch, sitting on a canvas tarp…that was draped across your thigh. Seeing how your skin was too hot for them to touch directly, they found a thick piece of canvas so they could eat lunch with you…well, on you since you had no need to eat. You were making happy humming noises to yourself, looking up at the sky. Until Eren started talking.

“Hey…you know what I just realized?” He said, setting his bread back on his plate.

“How strange it is we are eating lunch so close to a male Titan’s crotch?” Reiner said, causing a few of the other cadets to cough on their food or laugh. 

“No stupid! We haven’t figured out if this big guy has a name or not!” Eren said as he looked up at the said Titan, who was peering down at them curiously.

“N…Name…?” You said in a hushed tone…for you that is. You didn’t want to hurt their ears since they were so close to you. You learned that your voice could be too loud for them the hard way a week ago. You felt so bad you stopped talking for a couple days.

“Hey, that’s right. He can sorta talk now so if he has a name he could probably tell us now!” Armin said, surprised that he hadn’t thought of this earlier.

“So do you have one? A name?” Christa asked, looking up into your [E/C] eyes.

You sat there for a moment, racking your brain for an answer. A frown appeared on your face and your shoulders drooped. You shook your head slowly and softly said “No…”

At your sad expression Christa and Sasha awed and wished they could hug you and make you feel better. Mikasa patted your thigh in attempt to comfort you while the guys felt both sorry for you and awkward.

Armin was the first to speak after a few moments of silence. “So…how about we come up with one for him? You know, throw out some names and see which one he likes best?” You let out a pleased grunt and nodded your head quickly, causing the cadets on your leg to chuckle.

“It looks like he likes that idea.” Marco said, smiling.

“Alright…how about…Steve?” Eren suggested. You shook you head ‘No’ at the suggestion, causing Eren to pout a little.

“Who the hell names a Titan ‘Steve’?” Jean said.

“Like you have a better name?” Eren said.

“Of course I do! Jean Jr.!” Jean said, puffing out his chest.

“No.” You said in a firm voice almost immediately.  Jean looked shocked to get such a quick rejection while Eren, Armin and Reiner laughed. Marco tried to keep himself from laughing but ended up failing, causing Jean to look over at him in shock.

“You too Marco!? What the hell!? You are supposed to have my back!” He said, looking a little ticked off.

“S-sory Jean…I-I can’t help it…!” Marco said before bursting out in another fit of laugher. Even you were smiling now.

“How about…Elliot?” Armin said after he was done laughing. You thought about it for a bit before shaking your head again. “Aw…I though that was a good one too…”

“How about Fred or Bob?” Reiner said, grinning. He was obvious joking. You made a grumbling noise that sounded almost like a chuckle before shaking your head.

“Come on Reiner, take this a little seriously!” Jean said.

“Like you and ‘Jean Jr’?” Reiner taunted, causing Jean punch Reiner. The blonde fell back in shock and grabbed on to Jean’s arm, causing them to topple off your leg. Thankfully it wasn’t that far of a drop and they both ended up being alright…until they started brawling in the dirt.

“What about Raphael?” Marco suggested, ignoring the fight below them.

“Ooo, I like that one!” Christa chirped. You thought it over and while it wasn’t bad, it just didn’t seem right for you and you shook your head.

“Awww…”

“…Navarre…?” Mikasa suddenly said. Oh…that one was kind of nice…You might settle for that one if you can’t find the right name. But for now you shook your head to reject it.

“Good try though Mikasa. That was a good one.” Eren said, unknowingly causing Mikasa to blush.

---Several Names Later---

It was starting to get late in the afternoon and the cadets STILL couldn’t come up with a name for the long haired Titan.

“Have we suggested Jace yet?” Eren said, scratching his head.

“Yeah, I think so.” Marco answered, sighing. “Oh! How about Gauis?”

“Nope, Sasha suggested that one a half hour ago, remember?” Armin said.

“Oh yeah…”

“Oi! What are you shitty cadets doing!? You should have been at the training grounds an hour ago!” A voice suddenly said, startling everyone…except for you. You turned your head and grinned ear to ear at the sight of Levi darting over to you with is 3DMG gear. After landing on your shoulder, all the cadets suddenly stood up, saluting the shorter man.

“We are sorry Lance Corporal. We lost track of time trying to come up a name for our Titan friend here, Sir!” Marco explained.

Levi furrowed his brows. “You guys are trying to name it…?”

“Him, Sir. We are trying to name him.” Mikasa said sternly.

“But he doesn’t seem to like any of the names we come up with, Sir!” Said Eren before a argument between Mikasa and Levi could possibly start up.

Levi remained silent for a while, looking up at your face. You just smiled serenely at the other, making a quick jerky wave at him as well to greet him. After a few moments of silence, what Levi said next surprised everyone.

“[Your Name]…”

“W-what was that Sir…?” Armin asked.

“Its…His name. He looks like a [Your Name] to me…” Levi replied. The cadets were shocked. They thought Levi was completely against the idea of this Titan being around. Perhaps he had changed his mind the more the [H/C] Titan was around?

If possible, your grin grew wider. That name…you really liked it! It seemed…right. Like this was meant to be your name. Plus it was Levi who chose it! That made it all the better. “Mmmnnn!” You grunted happily, nodding your head in agreement at the suggestion. “[Your Name]. I…like…”

Levi gave you a small smirk, appearing pleased.

“What the hell?! We sat here for hours coming up with names and Corporal Levi gets it off the bat!?” Jean complained. This caused Levi to whip his head around and scowl at the cadet.

“That reminds me…Extra cleaning duty for all of you for skipping out on practice!” He said, causing the cadets to groan and complain.

You ignored them as you repeated your new name in your head happily. It made you feel…What was the word…? Ah, yes special! Like…you were now apart of the group. You watched as everyone left for the training grounds, excited for tomorrow and to be called by your newly gained name.
